Juxtaposition HousePlants was born from the unique intersection of the COVID-19 pandemic and the founder Tyler’s healthcare background. Throughout Tyler's time working, he became an epicenter of resources surrounding substance use, harm reduction, and housing instability. Committed to community engagement and education, Juxtaposition HousePlants is more than just an online plant store. Juxtaposition's mission is to open a brick-and-mortar store, opening a door to in-person community engagement and education. Juxtaposition HousePlants is the root of Tyler’s efforts to grow community engagement and education.

Meet the Founder

Juxtaposition is currently a one-man operation, managed by Tyler Espinosa, a 28-year-old transman. Tyler is pursuing dual associate's degrees in business and biology, with a special focus on botany. As the sole operator, he handles everything from regularly updating the website and Instagram to overseeing plant maintenance, including procurement, care, and propagation.
